You know that it will not be a direct route tonight when you drive your daughter home from the airport. Typically, when she flies home from her college that is 12 hours away from home, her plane lands around midnight. This arrival, however, occurs at 7 pm. She will be starving, and since you will drive through downtown on your way to your house she will surely want to stop at one of the historic eateries that she misses when she is away at school.
Her list of favorite places to eat is different from anyone else’s in the family, but you will oblige her as she will be starving, as all college students are when they return home.
Americans have a lot of traditions when it comes to eating. We have foods that we like to eat at Christmas and other holidays. We have foods that we like to eat when we are with a certain group of friends. We have foods that we like to eat when we visit certain cities. From historic eateries in big cities that serve American craft beers to local nice dining restaurants, it can sometimes seem like our travel agendas are as full of place to eat as there are places to see.

The Holiday Season Is a Perfect Time to Try Out New Restaurants
Whether you are looking for a place to share good craft beers with a group of college friends or you are in search of a party catering service, the holidays are a perfect time to try out new places and revisit old favorites. And while there are many favorite foods and ales that people are looking for, few things can compete with a tasty hamburger in its wide appeal and attraction.
In fact, that average American eats burgers 4.3 times each month, which translates into a little more than once a week. And when it comes to eating these burgers it may come as no surprise that a 2009 report indicated that 75% of burger-lovers rank the quality of the meat as the first or second most important attribute to their burger. Following closely behind, 42% of consumers also ranked toppings as either the first or second most important attribute in a burger.
You may be serving some traditional holiday meals over the next few weeks, but the fact of the matter is many in your family may be wanting a good, old, juicy hamburger every once in a while as well.
Whether you are going to visit one of the historic eateries downtown or you are searching for a new place to eat, make sure that you enjoy these times with your family and friends, especially the ones you do not see all that often.
